~~HOME SAFE AND SOUND~~

Thought I would write a quick note about the happenings of yesterday. As I
mentioned Scott left yesterday at 6am. He got to MN at 10:15AM...15 minutes
ahead of time...and all is well. Except maybe that the entire family is
still spread all over the place. A week from now that will be different. By
then we should all be back together in MN!! Sounds good, but we will try and
enjoy our time here while we need to complete the appropriate paperwork to
make that happen.
CA and I went down for breakfast yesterday morning and then got some money
exchanged. That was a bit interesting. I waited in what I thought was a line
and 2 people went ahead of me. Then one of the workers motioned me to come
forward. He helped me fill out some papers then a guard came and game me a
#. After that I noticed that they were calling people up by number. We were
only 2 numbers away. After that it was straight forward. The girl at the
counter spoke english very well, so that always helps. JM took a nap from
noon till 2PM when we left to go to a garden. It was very beautiful there. I
will try and post some photos. It was crowded but not too bad.
Next we went to a Jade market. I got a pendant for JM. Most Chinese give
their children a jade gift of some type when either one or 16. Ours will get
theirs when they turn 16.
Then it was back to the hotel. We tried out a new restaurant with the Taylor
family last night. I had a club sandwich and onion soup. It was good. CA had
pasta and like that as well. The portions were large. We could have shared.
If we ever go back we will know that. We plan to go to church this am and
then on a Pearl River cruise this evening.
I need to get going.
JM slept till 6:30 this am. I was thinking he should go back to sleep...when
I noticed the light from the window. When I checked the window I
realized...I should be feeding him! I got a good nights sleep as well. That
always helps.
