OUR HOLY WEEK
We have been very busy this week. As most of you know we are Orthodox Christians and our holy week is now. We have had church each night this week and will have it twice a day till Pascha(our Easter) on Sunday. The kids are doing well. We have made it to many services but not all. We can only do so much! I thought I would post a quick explaination to why I am just posted Palm Sunday photos now! I will try and get some photos from Easter! All is well...we are just busy! Like most! HUGS

~~HOW CAN THIS BE~~
My sweet SJ, has always been interested in teeth! She would want to look in my mouth when she was really young! When MR and EM started losing their teeth she would tell me often that she had loose teeth too...Well, about a month ago I had to agree one of her teeth was truly loose. Well, today was the day! This morning she said she wanted her tooth out. And since it was about to fall out I easily made that a reality. She is now tucked into bed waiting to see if the Tooth fairy makes a visit.
Our poor tooth fairy is going to have to increase the tooth budget with all 3 of them now losing teeth!

A bit more on the birthday
We had a great day on Sunday. It was hectic...but turned out well. I worked Saturday night into Sunday...who could turn down that double time pay we got to work our birthday! So SF took the kids to church and then brought JM home to sleep. A group from church went bowling ...so that worked out perfectly! EM had a great time! By the time they got home JM and I had rested and we could celebrate at home. We he EM's god-parents and anyother friend over and kept it simple. A good friend baked us the yummy cake! Mine never look that good! It was a 6th birthday to remember!...Oh and the batteries EM got were for a remote controlled car. I guess SF didn't get a photo of that. He had the camera..I was too tired to focus!
~CONSTRUCTION~
The kids got a wonderful gift a week ago from some friends. They are biodegradable pieces of foam that once you moisten them...they stick and you can build whatever you want! They have had fun "building" all kinds of things with them. And the best thing is...once they are done they can be put out in the garden and once it rains they will be gone! What can be better than that!! OK I will be honest, I'm not sure when they will ever be ready to get rid of their work...but I think the idea is great!

~MAKING A CAKE~
The girls had friends over on Wednesday. We went swimming at the YMCA and had a nice lunch together. MR and SJ made a cake for the occasion. The did all the measuring and I only helped a little with the mixer. It turned out really well.
It must have been good as it disappeared rather quickly. Guess you can not go wrong with Chocolate!

~~LITTLE HOUSE~~
MR has been having fun in art this year. Last week her dad got her some books on drawing. All 3 of the older kids have been fun giving it their best try!
SF asked MR last night if she could make him a drawing for his desk at school. She did this Little House picture. She is reading the Little House series right now...I have a feeling a trip to Manketo may be happening this summer!
She has her dad's copies of the little house series! It is fun to see her reading and enjoying them. I just hope all of our kids will love to read as she does!
