Sorry so quiet!

I guess life with 4 kids has really set in. I rarely find time to get to the computer these days! Things are always busy! I remember when we told my parents that we were going to adopt one last time...my mom said "Are you sure! 4 is hard!" Well once again my mom was right...but oh so worth it!
We had a busy Memorial day weekend! I worked both Friday and Sunday night...so that meant SF had the kids a good part of Satuday morning and then again Monday...so that I could sleep some! It went well. We ended up going to a Chinese Restaurant for Memorial Day...our 92 year old friend came over and went as well. I just could not get myself up and think about making something "fun" to eat! For those of you that don't know Alick...he is a sweet Bachelor from our church that "adopted" us when we moved to our home 8 years ago now! We love him and he is part of our family. He really doesn't have family left...so we are blessed to have him in our lives!
MR is counting down the days left till summer break. SF has orals to do this week. That is where he gets to talk to each of the students in his Humane letters class for an hour about what they did all year! Sounds a bit boring...but that is what they do! Next week is Evals. That is when the parents of each of his students come in and talk to the teachers. That means he is gone from 10am till 10PM for most of the week! It will be a long week for the kids and I. Keep us in your thoughts! WE can use all the prayers you can send our way!
Guess this is it for now! I will try and post some photos soon!

More sand is good!

SF went and got 25 more bags of sand for the sandbox yesterday! It will make it more more enjoyable for the kids. They had a good time building sandcastles last night. JM isn't too sure yet...but his day will come. Things have been busy around here. Having MR's dance recitel this weekend, so that means dress rehersal tonight. We went to the "Moose" for mother's day again this year. My 92 year old friend takes us each year. It is a nice tradition. It wasn't too busy this year. Not sure how much longer they will continue to do it if they don't get a better turn out. SF laughs each year we go and asks if that is really what I want to do. I figure I will enjoy the tradition as long as we can! It is nice that he thinks of me and wants to take us.
The kids are busy...MR is counting down the days till summer. She loves school but is ready for some warm weather. JM is learning to do more things all the time! He now really enjoys being read and sung to. He has his favorites and wants those over and over! Sounds pretty normal for a kid his age. He continue to work to "catch" up... seems he is doing something new each day. Still not "talking" much...but really making all kids of "noise". He babbles all the time. Guess I better get busy. Always something to do!

~6 MONTHS WITH JM~

Amazed that 6 months have gone by so quickly!

I have been thinking about the reality that it has been 6 months since JM's Gotcha Day! He has had 3 surgeries...and is just now really starting to be a happy and active little boy! We love him so and have been blessed by his coming to us in ways I could not even have imagined!
He is now eating a "soft" diet...by that I mean not much that is crunchy or needs much chewing! But tonight he at the rice from a chicken casserole, peas(a bit smashed)and applesauce! He has a really good appetite and this afternoon for the first time took the puffs and crunched them between his teeth without spitting them back out! He was so proud!
He is learning to play with new toys all the time and loves to be outside with his sisters and brother. When they go out and he isn't with them...he lets us know he is not happy!
Thankfully he is a good sleeper and seems to enjoy our family as much as we enjoy him!
We are so blessed to have completed our family with this little guy!
Happy 6 month Anniversary of your Gotcha Day JM! We are so happy to have you in our family forever!
