JANUARY 18, 2012

I spent most of the day cooking and baking for SJ. She had a list of things she wanted to eat on her special day. I think that girl will be quite the cook someday. How could I say no when she asked so sweetly and followed it up with..."Mom, you make the BEST....cake,chicken piroghi.... etc!!" You get the idea!

~~SJ turns NINE~~

SJ turned Nine last week. We took cream puffs for her to share with her friends at school and then again for her friends at church school in the evening! She seemed to enjoy every minute of her special day.

I tried out a new cake a week or two ago. Everyone seemed to approve. EM liked the icing! SF took a piece to school and now I need to share a recipe!

~A Special Holiday Brunch~

JM's God-Parents had us over for brunch during break. They spoiled us all! And we had enough bacon to satisfy even my crew! Thanks guys you are the BEST!

~One last party for this season!~

For the past 2 years we have had a Secret Santa with JM's PCA's and our friend Joanne. They all help make our lives possible in many ways. Since JM has qualified for a PCA (personal care assistant) I can have a few minutes for myself now and again as well as find more time to spend with each of the kids individually. Having a Special needs child can be a challenge, but it brings many blessings into our lives as well! Thanks guys you mean the world to us!

~New owner~

The girls passed their trike on to our God-daughter. She was so excited to have a Trike of her own!
She is petite like our girls so I think it was a perfect fit!

Enjoying our winter break together!

We went bowling one day with the kids and JM's PCA. It was a successful venture. The bowling alley was a bit overwhelming for JM at the beginning, but he did well and we all had a good time.

ROOM MAKE OVER

The girls are working on making their room a more functional space. They have been working hard and are doing a really good job!
They see a paint job and new rugs in the future at some point. For now it is nice to have a space to use. And look forward to some sleep overs!

Trying to catch up on the blog. We had a great Christmas season. I worked Christmas Eve...so when I got home at 7:45am I was met with very excited children. We enjoyed a low key day!
