ONLY A DAD WITH GIRLS!

I think only a father of girls would actually wear this tie! Students in SF's Latin class gave him this tie yesteray. He decided that if he wore it under a vest...then no one would have to see Aurora! Too funny. Love ya!

DAKOTA COUNTY VILLAGE

We had a great time at Dakota county village last week. It was a bit milder (teens) in temps and the lights were great! Hope to make this a yearly adventure!

~THE MOST AMAZING SPICE CABINET~

My father-in-law made us the most amazing spice cabinet ever! We had been looking for a spice rack and he offered to make us one! It is far better than anything we could have imagined!

 

My parents visited over the Thanksgiving weekend and transported it to MN from OHIO then my dad and I installed it. The organization was left to the girls! Thanks MR and SJ you did a great job!!

 

Not to mention both grandpas! One who did all the hard work making it and the other getting it here and up! We look at it in amazement each day! JM loved the "door" at first" as you can see from the photos...but he has learned that he is not to play with the door! He is doing OK with that thankfully!

 

THANKS AGAIN!!! WE LOVE IT!!!

Our Youngest God-Daughter

I have not posted updated photos of our youngest god-daughter. She is growing like a little weed! She weighed only 5#9oz when she was born and now at three and one half months she is well over 10# and going strong. She helped celebrate MR's birthday. It is so much fun to take her to communion each Sunday and watch her grow! Boy do the girls love having this little one around to spoil!!

Right before bed last night realized I had not taken photos of the kids on MR's B-day. So here they are!

~MR's BIRTHDAY!!~

As my dear husband said this am when we were waking up....10 years ago today in a "small" village in Hunan China a beautiful little girl was born. 10 years ago her parents attended a seminar at CUA in Washington DC on Death and Dying. It was a memorable day!

 

How that could possibly be 10 years ago already I have no idea. But our oldest turned 10 today. We are so blessed to have her in our lives.

 

She helped make her birthday cake, AKA "death by chocolate". She had friends over Saturday to go to the Science museum and last night friends from church. Tonight we will have a "family" celebration and her traditonal Birthday pumpkin pie.

 

We love you so much!! Can not imagine life without you!

~2nd ANNIVERSARY OF JM's GOTHCA DAY!~

It is hard to believe that 2 years have gone by since JM was added to our family. We have been blessed in ways we could have never imagined. We still face a long road ahead of us, but we love this little guy with all our hearts and can not imagine our lives without him being here with us!

The kids had a good time going trick or treating this evening. We had an "economical" Halloween and either used outfits that were recycled or "made" our own.

EM was a surgeon, MR a chef, SJ "Jasmine" and EM was Piglet!

They have way too much candy...but it only happens once a year!

Big Boy bed!

 

JM is now officially in a big boy bed!! He is sleeping in the antique child's bed that was once my mom's! I didn't know what his reaction would be. He was so excited and proud! He loves having a pillow and blanket. He has stayed in it and doesn't get out till we get him up in the mornings! That was a relief!

~A CAKE FOR ALICK~

   The kids helped me make a birthday cake for ALICK yesterday. He turne 94 on Wednesday! He is a special friend of our family from Church. We met him over 9 years ago now. He has been part of our family celebrations for those 9 years.Last night we had friends over from church to help celebrate.

     When we first attended church he told someone he was going to "adopt" us. I guess that is what happened. We are hoping for a healthy year for him!

EM's CAST IS OFF

 

EM got his cast off on Monday. It is going well. He still isn't too sure it is safe to use...but is gaining each day. He thinks he should be able to use the monkey bars...but the MD said wait till he sees him again the end of OCTOBER!

 

Those 8 weeks did fly by. I must say I almost forgot he had a cast. He just didn't complain! He is a  strong little guy!
