Helping out!

 

Some things about the kids growing up so quickly make me miss the days when they are small. This past month they have been busy helping out...and that makes me happy that they are at the stage they are! SJ loves to help in the kitchen and although that knife looks huge for her she is really good at it! Probably more careful than I am some of the time! We have not had much snow this year...but MR and EM have done a good job keeping the steps cleared!

EM at STATE SWIMMING MEET

 

EM had a good day yesterday. He qualified for 2 more races at regionals next month. He didn't get to go last year because he had surgery then...so he really wanted to go this year. He does really well. This is a tough year since he swims 10 and under and is only 9.

Where the years go I don't know, but we have been blessed to have SJ in our lives for 8 years! The second of February is her Gotcha Day Anniversary and we are so lucky to be blessed with her amazing spirit in our lives!

I spent most of the day cooking and baking for SJ. She had a list of things she wanted to eat on her special day. I think that girl will be quite the cook someday. How could I say no when she asked so sweetly and followed it up with..."Mom, you make the BEST....cake,chicken piroghi.... etc!!" You get the idea!
